Today’s letter is “R.” I chose to post my review for “Ready Player One” by Ernest Cline. Apparently, I only posted the review on Goodreads and Amazon. It’s the perfect discovery because lucky for me, I needed something for the letter “R” in the A to Z Challenge. Woo.

readyplayeroneI need to reread this book. I have a few books on my list that I read yearly (if possible) and this book made that list with flying colors (I think I’ll write about my yearly re-reads for the letter “Y” in this challenge). This book is the epitomy of geekiness and IĀ needed to have it involved in this blogging challenge.

I am definitely excited for the movie to be released into theaters next year (Here’s an interview with the lead character on Variety). SO excited. Without further ado, here’s my review. šŸ˜‰

Review:

This book was awesome. I personally was born in the 80s so while I did not grow up with a lot of the games and icons of that time period, I can appreciate their significance. In a futuristic environment such as this world building is so important to me. Cline nailed it! I could imagine everything Wade was doing, even though it involved technology that hasn’t been invented yet. How he interacted with the other characters was great too. “Ready Player One” was action packed, filled with amazing detail, and let me care about the characters and what happened to them. This makes for a 5 star read. Read it!
